Question from NP
I have a doubt about root lesions. Is the suture also possible from a posterior portal?

Answer
Root lesions are difficult to treat from posterior portals. The goal of the treatment is to fix the meniscal root to the tibial plateau trough a trans-tibial bone tunnel. What I prefer is to use a dedicated knee forward suture passer (for example Scorpion Knee) to fix the meniscal root with a n.2 fiber-wire through a loop-stich. After I pass the wires into a tibial bone-tunnel to push the root into a 10mm socket and I fix the wires to the tibia with a shoulder foot-print anchor. I suggest to avoid a posterior portal.
